The job wasn't easy. Her heart ached for how her special needs students were treated at school and for what they suffered in their home lives. She wanted so badly to make things better for them. There were many hurdles and hindrances she had to face, some from very unexpected sources.

She wrote this book in memory of the many special needs students that she taught over the years. Roe is involved in several different ministries in her church and especially enjoys serving with the youth group. She also enjoys decorating, home repair and of course writing. She has ventures in writing future stories about the life of her mother.
