Dear Prospective Author,

We feel honored that you are considering Olive Press Messianic and Christian Publisher for the publishing of your book. If the Lord has led you to write a book, then it is likely also the Lord that is prompting you to consider us.  We are trusting the Lord to guide authors to us. We are also trusting Him to guide us in our publishing and marketing. We want the books He brings our way to get into the hands of all who will benefit from them. We are moving ahead in faith, believing God has called us to this task to help further His Kingdom through the books He is inspiring you, His servants, to write.

Books published through us are made available on book distributor sites such as Amazon.com, BarnesandNobles.com, Facebook, and on this website. We are a new, still small company, but we are believing that since God told us to start Olive Press, He also will grow us and bless our book sales. We are doing our best to help with publicity and marketing. We do not charge for this service, as yet.

Before we accept any manuscript, our policy is to read through it to make sure the content is Biblically sound and to pray over it, asking God if it fits His intention and mission for Olive Press. If, for some reason, we don’t accept your manuscript, we will give you suggestions on how to improve it and/or where else to try and submit it. This “first read-through” service costs $30 (as noted below).

Our payment policy is “pay-as-you-go.” Each step of the publishing process (as listed below) must be paid in full before the book moves on to the next step. (These steps can take a few months.) Everything will need to be paid in full before we will send the final version to the printer.

After the book is published and made available on Amazon.com, etc., you may order any number of books through us at your author cost to sell them yourself at a much greater profit than through Amazon.com. There will be no need for you to stock up on a thousand copies. You can order just one book at a time, if you’d like, or there are discounts for high volume orders, starting at 50 books.

If you want us to consider publishing your book, send your manuscript to us as an attached Word document to olivepressbooks@gmail.com.  In submitting your writing to us, we want to emphasize that the copyright of the file belongs to you, the author. You are not assigning us any legal rights. In submitting it, you agree that Olive Press can review it in confidence. We do not share it with any other entity.  If we publish it, you, the author, retain all rights to your subsequent book. We only make a contract with you to publish it and to retain a small amount per book for our publishing services.
