From the back cover:

I was a casualty of consumer debt. Money, especially the lack of money, affected everything—my marriage, my friendships, and my self-image. Personal Finances Personal Freedom details the intimate struggle and chronicles the bad choices that got my family into over $40,000 worth of consumer debt. Once confronted with how our choices hurt those we loved the most, we purposed not only to eliminate the debt, but also to eliminate the behaviors that got us into debt. Through this book, you will uncover hope for managing your finances and discover the freedom that comes with being intentional about money matters.
